Portie Film Festival 2026

The 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 returns to 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, Jamaica’s most beautiful parish! After a 6-year hiatus, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝘁𝘀, in collaboration with 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, is proud to present the 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the festival from 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟵-𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. The program primarily focuses on 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, showcasing films that explore the island’s 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, and 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 while fostering 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲, 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆, and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 can be found below. Get ready for 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀 and, last but not least, the annual 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 from dusk til dawn.

𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 to 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 is 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, but please 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 for the events (screenings and workshops) at 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝘁𝘀 and 𝗗𝗶 𝗛𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 by emailing [email protected].

The 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 is held in loving memory of 𝗠𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗪𝗮 𝗠𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗶, the Kenyan-born, Jamaica-based artist whose work was deeply rooted in Caribbean identity, spirituality, and environmental reckoning.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆
Caribbean Creativity is an Amsterdam- and Kingston-based non-profit organization that is, since 2008, committed to the production, programming and promotion of Caribbean and Caribbean-themed cinema. Over the years, Caribbean Creativity has hosted over 300 screenings in theatres and at festivals, including numerous premieres. In 2020, they launched YardVibes, a streaming platform featuring content from independent Caribbean filmmakers. YardVibes currently offers over 100 titles, including feature films, web series, documentaries, and short films, with new content added monthly.
