๐๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ, a small village near Montego Bay, Jamaica, was, like many other places on the island, devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Homes, farms, and livelihoods were destroyed, leaving the once lush community struggling to rebuild. Many local raftsmen and farmers have lost their means of income, and tourism has come to a halt. The ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต๐๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐, who have lived in ๐๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ for generations, are helping lead the recovery.
This Saturday, we’ll be hosting a ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ถ๐น๐บ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, twice (once in the late afternoon, once in the early evening) accompanied by ๐บ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐, as a ๐ณ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐. All proceeds will go directly to rebuilding homes, restoring farms, and supporting local raftsmen as they rebuild their livelihoods.
